Old Friends and New Springs

We began our adventure today waking up in a pool of our own sweat. Although better than yesterday, camping when it's 95 outside is an ordeal. It's less sleeping and more hallucinating.

We went for a hike around the park which was nice except for the advertised lower and upper falls. See a picture of them? Neither do I. That's because there was not much to be found. Otherwise it was a nice hike.

We then showered and were off to Georgetown to meet Justin for lunch.

We arrived early and walked around the "Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas." It was very nice and Lauren found her niche in stores for the geriatric.

We had lunch and chatted for a while to catch up and then Justin invited us back to his office. He does nonprofit work to help veterans and their family's. The company is called Boot Campaign. Check them out for cool tees and boots if you are in the market.

We bid him farewell and headed to the Barton Springs. It was awesome and very refreshing. There was even an impromptu jam session outside of the fence with some folks who are probably not employed. There were also lots of pooches playing in the water. Austin is a very free spirited sort of town...

We made our way back to downtown Austin for some dinner. We stopped at Hop Doddy. A poorly designed ordering system did not detract from the good food.

Finally, we headed back to the camp site to enjoy our last night in Austin before heading to the Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington area in the morning.
