Sweat, I mean sweet Austin!

Woke up to some coyote howling and yelping last night, but luckily we were so beat by the heat that we fell right back into a sweaty slumber.

Check out this guy, there were quite a few on our tent greeting us this morning!

A quick drive into Austin, lead us to the biggest state Capitol in the USA and it was grand red granite!
With the special designed brass hinges in every door.

The squirrels were friendly and I had to have my photo next to the tribute to the frontiersmen and their beasts of burden.

The Bob Bullock State Museum of Texas was awesome! Still have no idea who bob is though...
The in depth history of texas from the Natives, Spanish and independent Texans we read it all and experienced lots of artifacts. I don't know how to make a museum sound great, but this one was!

South downtown Austin is rad! Don't know how else to describe a town filled with gourmet food trucks, cutesy antique shops, kitschy boutiques, and outdoor bars and pet adoptions!

We hit up the Guero Taco Bar for some fajitas and Amy's homemade ice cream for our first dessert of the trip! I guess we have been filling up on food and dare I say local brews.

  1. That is hands down one of the most terrifying bugs I have ever seen.
